About the Project
In this app you can get recipes to food you select, as well as find what wine pairs best with selected foods.
People not knowing how to cook and also the confusion of what wine pairs with what type of food.
The Problem
The Goal
People can select a dish to access recipe, prep time, and amount of people recipe feeds. They can search a wine to find what foods it pairs best with. They can love a recipe and wine to find it in their favorites . Lastly, share recipe and wine pairing with friends.
Why
People usually love eating and having drinks. During the pandemic people were forced to cook for themselves leaving those that can not cook to struggle. Experimenting with new recipes and completing your dish with the perfect wine seemed like the best idea for an app.
Of Americans enjoy cooking.
Of Americans can not cook.
Of people like to try new foods.

User Story
Potential User: A chef
Potential User: A Party host
Potential User: A regular person that wants to cook something different or needs help matching a wine to their food.
A couple on date night :
Ron and Celeste are celebrating their 2 year anniversary. Trying to celebrate safely while being quarantined is a pretty difficult task to do. Not being able to hang out with her family Celeste is more bummed out than usual. Ron decides to prepare her a romantic dinner. He downloads Pair'N'Chef to find her favorite dish. Luckily he can also find the best wine to pair with their meal. When Celeste comes home from work she is pleasantly surprised that Ron (who can not cook all that well) managed to prepare a beautiful meal and also got the perfect wine to complement it. Giving Celeste a dining out experience from their home.

Concept Map
Choose between recipe search or wine look up. Recipe search will allow you to view a recipe. Wine look up can be used to select your meal based off of the wine you input, You can also just use it to see what food category pairs with a particular wine and not view the recipe.
SiteMap
Sitemaps help you lay out each screen and what direction that screen will take you in next. This is helpful because it allows you to map out all of the sites stops, which will later help you determine everything that can be done on every screen.

Screens
For this UI I wanted a Grown and sophisticated look. To help the user keep track of what area of the app they were searching in (wine pairing, or recipe) I used the background image to easily distinguish the two. Since I used background images through-out the app I decided to use more neutral colors so the colors and images do not clash.

I Built the original version of this app in Swift (See Below)

API: Spoonacular
Build an app where you can look up foods and add them to a shopping cart.
The assignment
I found there were things missing and things that were not needed within this project to make it a functional app, like being able to see the recipes was a must, and the adding to cart function was not.
The Problem
Why
I Liked the concept and direction I was going in design wise, so I decided to improve somethings and expand on the purpose of this app to create the design shown above.
Things I wanted to change/improve, and the reason why I wanted to expand and turn this assignment into a app.
